The scheme allows trainees to work within every department of the firm, usually spending six months with each team.

Our aim is to give trainees a good breadth of experience and support them in becoming an invaluable part of the team. Monthly lunchtime seminars, training sessions and external courses will also form a key part of training.

  • A good degree (preferably a 2:1 or above)
  • The Legal Practice Course (LPC), completed within the last three years (commendation/distinction preferred)
  • Experience of working in a solicitors’ or other professional office preferred
  • All preliminary qualifications required by the Law Society to start a training contract
  • A high standard of oral and written English
  • Excellent IT skills

As a firm we recognise the importance of developing a friendly, professional environment and are committed to the continual development of all our staff – whether they’re a new starter or have been with us for many years.

We also place great store in fostering a strong team spirit, encouraging a healthy work/life balance and recruiting people from a wide range of backgrounds. By creating an environment in which our team feel they are supported we believe that we are well placed to get the best from all our staff.

Our next trainee intake will now be in March 2026.  Applications will open on 1st September 2025 and will close on 1st October 2025.  Selected candidates will be invited for interview late October/November 2025.
