4 July 2022
Our lawyers, Kate Boguslawska and Jarmila Entezari, joined the UK delegation of the Department for International Trade to the Three Seas Summit and Business Forum in Riga, Latvia in June 2022.
Together with other representants of British businesses Carter Lemon Camerons LLP (CLC) attended eye-opening presentations and panel discussions on energy, transportation, security, and digitalisation and engaged in conversations with high-profile representatives, including Presidents and Prime Ministers of many European countries.
Kate Boguslawska and Jarmila Entezari learned about the plans for dealing with the transport and climate issues and the solutions to improve multimodal connectivity and to respond to climate changes. The Three Seas Summit confirmed that there are many motivated specialists to realise the incredible proposals and plans. CLC were pleased to see the level of support UK businesses receive from the British Government and engaged in discussions with its representatives over various initiatives in the UK and Europe which will benefit CLC’s clients, for example to win commercial contracts. The Foreign Secretary Liz Truss addressed the Summit and confirmed that the UK fully supports the objectives of the Three Seas Initiative.
CLC now looks forward to following up on the discussions during the Summit, and deepening connections with the representatives of the Departments of UK and International Trade for the benefit of our respective clients.
