CLC representatives at Three Seas Initiative Summit 2022 in RigaDuring their attendance at Three Seas Initiative Summit 2022 in Riga, Latvia, Jarmila Entezari and Kate Boguslawska heard from leaders of 12 countries as they make policy decisions to promote investment in key areas and make their economies resilient in preparation for the future.

Egils Levits, the President of Latvia said that the strength of the twelve member states depends on the strengths in three areas: energy, transport and digital. The President stated that the energy connectivity has to be brought into sharper focus.

The Three Seas Initiative is a cooperation format launched in August 2016 by 12 EU member states: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

President of the Republic of Poland, Andzrej Duda (foto) said that Three Seas Initiative’s purpose is to generate ideas to being recovery from COVID-19 crisis.

Poland’s President Andrzej Duda has announced that The Three Seas Initiative has offered a partnership to Ukraine. He also challenged Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice President of the European Commission for An Economy that Works for People to urge the European Council to grant Ukraine a special EU status.
