Property Transactions

Housing Associations rely on our firm’s connections to and benefits from its contacts with the property industry. Often property work is a part of the service the firm provides but we aim to build a strong relationship such that human resources issues, commercial disputes, governance advice are all aspects of a Housing Associations’ operation in which we are pleased to act in order to protect clients’ interests.

Our experience comprises of the following:
  • Sale and purchases of HAs including a major redevelopment and portfolio re-financing for a Housing Association;
  • Negotiating leases including negotiating and completing leases of commercial space for a Housing Association enabling it to maximise income from non-core assets;
  • Licenses to assign and for alterations;
  • Mixed used development schemes;
  • Dispute resolution including lease renewals and dilapidations.
This firm builds longstanding relationships with clients and has often bought, managed, refinanced and later sold properties for clients, enjoying each aspect of that cradle to grave property investment and realisation process. In some instances this means even longer involvement – with purchases conducted “subject to satisfactory planning permission” and then a development phase, letting, managing and either holding as part of the portfolio or selling to realise the investment.
