Youth Mobility Scheme

Nationals of Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Monaco and South Korea can qualify for this route. The applicants must be 18-30 years old, have no dependants and have savings of not less than £1,890. Nationals of Hong Kong, the Republic of South Korea and Taiwan need to have a sponsor employer in the UK. The visa is granted for up to 2 years.

Temporary worker Creative and Sporting visa

This visa is for those who want to enter the UK for up to 12 months to work in the creative or sporting sector. Applicants must have a prospective employer in the UK who will sponsor them. Those applying in the creative category would also need to demonstrate ability to make unique contribution to the UK labour market and those applying under the sporting category must obtain endorsement from an appropriate sporting body.

Temporary worker Government Authorised Exchange (GAE) visa

This visa is for non-EEA nationals who want to come to the UK to do work experience, training or research. To apply for the GAE visa the applicants need to first obtain a sponsorship from one of the approved GAE schemes. The GAE visa can be granted for a period of 1 to 2 years, depending on the scheme.

Temporary Charity Worker visa

This visa is for non-EEA nationals who want to come to the UK to do unpaid voluntary work for a charity. Applicants must have a sponsor employer and the work they intend to do must be directly related to the work of the sponsor. The visa is granted for up to 12 months.

Temporary Religious worker visa

This visa is for non-EEA nationals who want to do religious work (preaching or working in a religious order). Applicants must have a sponsor employer and the work they intend to do must be directly related to the work of the sponsor. The visa is granted for up to 24 months.

Temporary International Agreement worker visa

This visa is for non-EEA nationals who will be contracted to do work covered by international law (working for a foreign government or as a private servant in a diplomatic household). Applicants must have a sponsor employer and the work they intend to do must be directly related to the work of the sponsor. The visa is granted for up to 2 years.

Temporary Seasonal Worker

This visa is for migrants coming to the UK as seasonal workers in the edible horticulture sector through an approved scheme operator. This is a new pilot scheme that will run between February 2019 and December 2020. ‘Seasonal work’ means employment which fluctuates or is restricted according to the season or time of the year.
