Temporary visa concessions for family members of British nationals in Ukraine

In recognition of the desperate situation in Ukraine, the Home Office has introduced a temporary visa concession for non-British family members of British nationals currently living in Ukraine.

• Family migration visas are free for the family members of British nationals who usually live in Ukraine. The application fee is normally £1,523.
• Applicants must obtain approval from UK Visas and Immigration (‘UKVI’) for making applications. The request for such approval will be considered on the basis of information provided to the UKVI.
• Part of the application is an appointment to provide biometrics at the Visa Application Centre in Kyiv.
• UKVI aims to process family migration visa applications within 24 hours from the appointment at the Visa Application Centre.
