Carter Lemon Camerons recover tankers for Polish hauliers

Carter Lemon Camerons, in cooperation with Saunders-Solicitors Limited, have managed to secure restoration of two tanks seized by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

The case involving complicated civil and criminal issues relating to  importing of undeclared heavy oil into the United Kingdom contrary to Section 6 of the Hydrocarbon Oil Duties Act 1979 and rendering the fuel and the vehicle liable to forfeiture under sections 49 and Section 141 of the Customs & Excise Management Act 1979 respectively.
