Carter Lemon Camerons LLP (CLC) prides itself on being able to offer a comprehensive range of services under one roof. As part of our continuing professional development, the latest staff seminar was ‘Immigration is not just Brexit’ and was run by our immigration department. They gave an insight into the current immigration routes and discussed advantages of being able to work with colleagues at CLC.
We are very excited about the new Global Mobility Route which opens opportunities for overseas businesses to expand into the UK and we are ready to help businesses with their requirements.
Carmen Loke, Paralegal, set out general immigration procedures for preparation of immigration applications; timelines for our clients from the initial entry clearance or application for leave to remain to settlement or British citizenship; Home Office procedures and current visa decision times.
Robert Sookias, Partner, explained the importance of clients receiving competent tax advice before relocating to the UK or moving their assets after their settlement.
Jarmila Entezari, Senior Associate, spoke about the Nationality and Borders Act 2022 and its impact on retrospective eligibility to register as a British citizen.
Jarmila and the team are currently assisting an aspiring international cricket player who is in demand in the UK, but who currently does not fit any prescribed immigration category. They are also assisting a talented worker who is overseas; whose skills are in demand but due to the requirements of sponsorship he is facing an arduous search for an employer who is also a sponsor registered with the Home Office.
The combined skills and knowledge of our immigration team make huge impact on our client lives. We would be happy to speak to you if you are looking for assistance in immigration. Please email us at email@example.com.
