Leading property lawyer’s ‘excellent presentation’ at surveyor’s conference

A leading lawyer’s talk on getting the most out of property deals has received widespread praise from delegates at a recent surveyor’s conference.

Rufus Ballaster, a Partner and Head of Commercial Property at City-based law firm Carter Lemon Camerons LLP, covered topics including Restrictive Covenants, Options and generating additional cash flow from ‘dead’ spaces.

Comments from the property professionals who attended the conference included ‘entertaining and informative’, ‘creative thinking’, ‘excellent presentation’, ‘good information, well presented’, ‘effective communication’ and ‘very informative.’

Rufus said: “It was a pleasure to speak at the conference. It is important that property professionals have a good understanding of the deals which can potentially be agreed in different circumstances and the commercial implications of these deals.”

The conference in Liverpool, which was organised by Professional Conferences Limited, formed part of the formal Continuing Professional Development requirement for the surveyors who attended. They also heard from speakers on topics including landlord and tenant case law, rent reviews and valuations.
