CLC recently shared a platform with ISQ International at the London Bursars’ Group Meeting held at the HQ of the British Computer Society in Covent Garden.
ISQ are trusted advisors to the independent education sector worldwide and specialists in IT, digital marketing and security, with whom CLC are working to help enhance their joined up offering to independent schools. One of the focuses of the presentation which included contributions from Seamus Smyth and Andrew Firman of the firm, was the role of the IT, legal and security audit as a route to managing risk. CLC introduced the idea of prophylactic legal advice in the form of a review of the legal and compliance frameworks which independent schools have in place. The obvious advantage being to ensure the safety and protection of a school’s pupils in an ever increasing and challenging digital media driven age, where anticipating what the next big issue to hit the sector is in an art in itself.
