Survey sheds light on London’s start-up scene

New research has identified those parts of London which are proving to be “hotspots” for start-up businesses.

The analysis, carried out by the website Flexioffices, identified SE1 as the most desirable area of the city to start up a business.

The postcode, which covers Southwark, London Bridge and Waterloo, is particularly popular with small enterprises.

In fact the statistics suggest that over seven per cent of the capital’s SMEs are based in the area.

Business services, finance, IT, retail and media are among the sectors attracted to the neighbourhood.

Also popular are NW1 (Kings Cross/Euston) – with access to two of the UK’s busiest railway stations – and EC2A (Liverpool Street), which is the most densely populated part of the capital when it comes to business ventures.
