Supporting charity’s will writing campaign

Carter Lemon Camerons has given its backing to the Alzheimer’s Society’s ‘Will to Remember’ scheme.

The initiative, which offers help and encouragement to people who are looking to draft a will, has been developed by the dementia charity, working in conjunction with Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).

Ian West, partner in our private client department, said: “Without a will there’s no guarantee your property, savings and other assets will go to the people you want to benefit; the law will decide who gets what and how much.

“For many, selecting the right solicitor, the uncertain costs and the thought of making decisions around the writing of a will – with its bewildering array of legal terms – is often one of those things you never get round to doing.

“The ‘Will to Remember’ scheme, supported by Carter Lemon Camerons, offers a discounted will writing service, at no cost to the charity.”

The scheme is open to everyone wishing to write or update their will. To find out more visit www.alzheimers.org.uk/willtoremember
